BABTAC & CIBTAC Awards Top Tips

Our BABTAC panel are looking for professionalism and correct treatment procedures. We have the confidence that  all our Members can deliver this, but we want you to be confident enough to enter in the first place. So to give you a helping hand we have some top tips to get you going. Keep checking back for more top tips!

DVD Top Tips

You don't need to be Steven Spielburg or Quentin Tarantino to enter our Awards. Your DVD should merely be a recording of how great you are.

For Camcorders

• Set up a tripod or grab a mate, this may need some bribing, position your tripod or 'camera man' in the corner of the room

• Ensure your camera man or tripod is in a position close enough to have a clear shot of the face area or whole bed, depending on which type of treatment you will be performing

• You may want to test the lighting so we can see what you are doing

• Make sure that the client knows they are being filmed and they are comforable with the process

• Please ensure the clients dignity is respected by keeping certain areas covered, when not being treated on

• Check the tape you are using is able to record the whole length of the treatment

• You may find a sign on the door saying your filming may keep background noise and interruptions to a minimum, no one will appreciate Aunt Dorris bursting in, especially if you are performing a bikini wax!

• Once you are finished take your tape down to your local Snappy Snaps or similar who will transfer the tape or coverage to DVD. If you are tech savvy, you may be able to do this yourself.

For Mobile Phones

• Follow the steps 1-4 above

• Ensure there is enough memory on your phone to cover the length of treatment
