BABTAC encourages all of our members to keep up with industry developments and new treatments, and we call this Continuous Professional Development - CPD.
We believe it helps keeps you inspired and passionate about your work, as well as reassuring clients that your skills are up to date.
CPD can take many forms, from reading each issue of Vitality to attending Professional Shows, as well as taking further training and workshops.
CPD covers a huge range of topics, advanced treatments, new treatments, customer care and marketing.

How do CPD points work?
BABTAC measures CPD on a point system, taking into consideration the length of time the course is, and qualification delivered.
Why should I keep a record of BABTAC CPD?
You have a responsibility as a therapist to keep your skills and knowledge up to date. CPD helps to identify and achieve your own career objectives. Every 12 months we would recommend you review your CPD, reflect on all areas that you have achieved and plan your objectives for the next 12 months. It helps identify where you are in your career, how you would like to develop, and how to plan for the future.
How do I log my CPD points?
Collecting CPD points is easy. Follow two simple steps for logging and reviewing your
- Check out our points allowance table and keep this as your record, we recommend to keep this with your portfolio and insurance documents.
- Keep a record of your yearly CPD table and your career objectives
Keeping records of BABTAC CPD is handy for an interview, appraisal
or even business meeting.
