Making the most of Promotions by BABTAC
It's not easy knowing how to service a promotion when you've never done it before, but remember, we've tried to make these offers as flexible as possible, whilst still leaving you protected. The tips listed below should help you get the most from participating and make sure it's as effective as possible. If you are using Promotions by BABTAC in an innovative way we haven't mentioned, we'd love to hear about it, so please email us at promotions@babtac.com.
Upsell your services
The offer available to potential clients will either be a free mini-treatment or a 2 for 1 offer. Whilst you have to redeem these vouchers at their value, there is nothing to prevent you from upselling your services. For example, with a free ten-minute manicure, you could offer additional accompanying treatments or services such as hand massages or a specialist polish. You are able to charge for these additional services at your discretion.
Develop their loyalty
Most businesses already run a loyalty scheme, as well as internal promotional offers. Make sure your client is given a loyalty card which rewards return custom and that they are made aware of any upcoming promotions you have within your business.
Fill your diary
All the promotions are run at the discretion of the business owner or manager. Use these potential customers to fill up your white space, avoiding your busy periods such as evenings and weekends. Be helpful to the potential client and try to find an appointment that suits you both, but remember there are no specific times being offered, so thcy can fit in around you!
Train your staff
Make sure your staff know about all the upcoming offers, show them the vouchers they'll be given and let them know when the offer will be running. It will also be helpful to give them a masterclass about how to upsell your services and what would compliment each offer, as well as letting them know the process they will need to go through. Don't forget, you can also use these promotions as a way to up-skill your staff. If you have junior or trainee staff, or a new staff member without an established client base, these promotions are a great way for them to gain experience and potential custom.
Promote the offer
By participating in Promotions by BABTAC, you are taking part in a National scheme, alongside helping to raise awareness of industry standards and reputable businesses. Make the most of it, tell your customers about why you are doing it and promote the offer yourselves, via your website, social media and posters or informational leaflets. They can then tell their family and friends and you'll benefit from additional potential customers.
