The BABTAC and CIBTAC Awards are always a glamorous event, with tickets sold out every year and more and more members entering this prestigious event to raise the profile of their business and showcase their skills. Our 2019 awards will be held in September 2019 in the beautiful town of Windsor, London.
BABTAC and CIBTAC have always practiced self-regulation and believe in maintaining high standards within the industry and the benchmark of applications from previous years awards confirms that our members work to the highest possible standards.
The awards are highly regulated with different stages of comprehensive assessments completed by highly qualified CIBTAC examiners, ensuring that only the highest standard of therapists qualify for the following stages.
Existing members can enter the awards with no charge and if you are not a BABTAC member and wish to enter, an associate membership can be purchased for £45 from our dedicated membership team. The application processes and requirements for each of our 16 categories are listed alongside the application forms on the BABTAC and CIBTAC websites under 2019 Application Forms. Each of the categories has differing stipulations so it is imperative that the ‘How to enter facts sheets’ are read thoroughly.

Our 2019 CIBTAC Awards categories are:
CIBTAC Centre 2019
CIBTAC Student 2019
CIBTAC Tutor 2019
CIBTAC Centre 2019

Entrants will primarily be judged on their applications which require supporting information such as a 15-minute video of a relevant treatment for the category of your choice, including how you relate to your client, appearance, health and safety and hygiene standards and techniques used. CPD and qualification records, certificates and proof of insurance will also be required. This information and your initial application should be sent to awards@babtac.com by the relevant dates for each category.
The highest performing Therapists will be selected to advance to the Semi-Final stage of assessment. These applicants will be required (depending on the category entered) to attend BABTAC headquarters for trade tests. Trade test treatments will be relevant to the category entered and semi-finalists will be informed of the treatment options when they are invited to attend trade tests. Trade tests will be judged by CIBTAC examiners who will look for excellent client skills, standards of professionalism, high standards of appearance, hygiene, health and safety and how accomplished each applicant is at performing a range of treatments to the required standards.
Applicants for The Salon and Spa categories will have pre-arranged, one-day site visits by one of our examiners between 01st April - 30th June 2019. Finalists will be notified by the end of July 2019 and the winners will be announced at our prestigious awards ceremony to be held in Windsor in September 2019!
The application deadline for CIBTAC categories will be 28th February 2019, three finalists for each category will be notified by the end of May 2019, with the finalists being announced at our Award ceremony in September 2019. Although we would love to have all our finalists present at the ceremony, we understand the difficulties involved for International applicants and final judging will not be based on those able to attend.
