Our 2017 Awards attracted such high standards of competitor, that the Beauty Therapist 2017 Award was shared between Diana Jenner and Louise Birch who both scored impressive and identical scores.
Diana Jenner...
no stranger to the BABTAC awards says "Winning the Beauty Therapist of the Year for a second year in a row is an incredible honour." She was also shortlisted for the Contribution to the Industry category and has recieved many other accolades over the past three years.
"Winning the awards has been an immense privilege" she told Vitality "It is a huge compliment to have been selected from such a high calibre of entrants and wonderful to have feedback and encouragement from the top trainers in the world" The Awards have also contributed towards a tremendous 40 percent growth in Diana's business over the last six months. "My clients are very proud of my achievements and continue to reccomend me which helps further my business" she said.
In addition to her Orchids Retreat salon based in Lymington, Hampshire, Diana has a weekly residence at Firmdale's Soho Hotel in London, where she has had the opportunity to add some celebrity names to her client base, and where she will also be hosting future Skincare Specials.
Diana also says that recognition in the industry helped ensure her invitation to be part of the live well series at Ham Yard Hotel in September 2016, where her presentation focused on three rules of bright eyes and plump lips. Diana is also very proud to be selected as a premier account for Dermalogica - the smallest account in the UK to reach this status as a solo Therapist.
Diana's advice to others?
"Just do it! Pursuing your passions takes perseverance and heart, but its worth the challenging and pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. That's how we grow and develop."
The Innovator Award is judged on several factors:
- Have excellent client skills and standards of professionalism with a superb appearance and manner
- Be accomplished at performing a range of beauty treatments to the highest standards
- Demonstrate a desire to improve their skills through continued professional development and training
- A consummate professional providing top-quality services and treatments
Entrants will be expected to attend BABTAC HQ for trade tests where a CIBTAC examiner will mark them on their deliverance of all the above factors and entrants with the highest marks will be put forward to the Semi Finals.
Semi Finalists will be judged on their application and their trade test results by a BABTAC official.
