Exercise

Some beauty Therapists are trained and qualified to provide clients with one-to-one exercise and may use their exercise knowledge to assist their clients to achieve improved wellbeing and their beauty goals.

Cardiac and toning exercises may be recommended to support weight loss and figure enhancing treatments; whilst stretching exercises may be employed to help with muscle tension discovered during massage treatments. Specific strength exercises are often advised in conjunction with sports or deep tissue massage if your Therapist is qualified in these areas.

It is always advisable to check that your beauty Therapist has the necessary qualifications and insurance prior to embarking on an exercise plan provided by him/her.

If you have not exercised for a while, if you are taking regular medication or have a health problem it is advisable to check with your doctor before you take any form of exercise.

Can exercise improve my skin condition?

Exercise increases blood flow to all of the body tissues, including the skin cells, bringing increased nutrition and oxygen to them and removing waste products more speedily. This helps to nourish the skin cells and keep them vital. The sweating that exercise can induce also helps to flush debris from the skin. Exercise is therefore an integral part of a healthy skin condition and wellbeing.
