False eyelashes

False eyelashes enhance the eye shape and maximise the eyelashes without the use of mascara. They are wonderful for that special occasion and when applied professionally the risk of them falling in your soup during dinner is avoided!
There are many types of false eyelashes available. Strip eyelashes are extremely fashionable and have been referred to as “the Wonderbra” of eye makeup! They are available in a variety of different colours and materials to give a glamorous effect. They are temporary and removed at the end of the day or special occasion.
Semi-permanent eyelashes are very good for a special occasion or party where extra length and fullness is required without the use of a full strip of eyelashes. These lashes are usually provided in a group of four lashes knotted together and applied to the roots of the natural eyelashes with a semi-permanent glue. They usually last for just a day or two and are removed with a special remover.
Permanent eyelash extensions are now available. This is a very skilled task with each individual false eyelash being applied to an individual natural lash with a special flexible medical-grade glue. They can give a natural fuller, longer effect or a glamorous result depending on the type of lashes and techniques used.  They need to be removed with a special remover or they can be ‘in-filled’ every 2-4 weeks as gaps appear as the artificial lashes are shed along with the natural lash.

I suffer from a lot of allergies and I am unable to wear mascara. Would false eyelashes be suitable?

False eyelashes would be a good alternative to mascara, but your Therapist would need to patch test you to ensure that you are not allergic to the glue or any other products involved in the application of them.

Are the lashes easy to remove at home?

The strip lashes are easily removed with a recommended eye make-up remover. The semi-permanent lashes are designed to stay on longer, and they must be removed using a recommended remover. This would be placed onto a cotton bud and gently rolled over the lash root. The lashes will slowly release and lift off. Alternatively, your Therapist can remove them by request. Permanent eyelash extensions must be professionally removed by a Therapist. Never pick or pull off the eyelashes.
