A device first for Dermalogica, Pro Pen is the culmination of working with microneedling experts around the world to improve therapist control and results. With the current industry focus in the UK around proposed incoming regulation and new licensing laws, Dermalogica has developed a training programme directly mapped to National Occupational Standards, the Cosmetic Practice Standard Authority’s Skin Rejuvenation Standard, and the Level 4 Microneedling qualification specification to ensure the highest practice standards that prioritize client safety and results. The Pro Pen Endorsed programme verifies competency in using the Dermalogica Pro Pen for microneedling and nanoneedling services.
The Dermalogica Pro Pen Endorsed programme has been recognized by BABTAC’s sister company, the international awarding organization CIBTAC, for the comprehensive training provision which will also support skin therapists who may not yet have completed bridging or next level training to Level 4 in Microneedling.
Already a CIBTAC Accredited Centre offering regulated Level 4 qualification to their staff, Dermalogica will have upskilled 50 skin therapist employees in Level 4 Chemical Peels and Microneedling through 2022. Excitingly Dermalogica will be opening up their training provision to the wider industry in 2023, through the International Dermal Institute.
Offering Level 3 qualified therapists the opportunity to complete a regulated qualification to achieve a Level 4 Award in Microneedling, with the current Pro Pen Endorsed programme eligible for credits towards the Award.
