Wouldn't you like to know - Liza Lambert

She might be Balens’ suited and booted Claims Manager by day but at night, Liza Lambert will not only fight your corner, she’ll cook you a meal and maybe even treat you to a pole dance too!

What makes you happy?
I love to cook, so a meal with family and friends enjoying each other’s company and trying out new recipes as well as laughing at the disasters is perfect for me. Life can be too serious and I love my daughter Katie’s drive and enthusiasm. She’s 21 and fully embracing university life in Exeter right now.

Who inspires you?
Anyone who can hold down a career, run a home and bring up a family; sometimes it’s all about the day to day.

Can you explain your role at Balens?
I’ve been at Balens for 19 years and am the Claims Manager. This means I am actively involved in supporting therapists when a complaint or claim occurs; it’s not all about protocols. When a claim is filed it’s important to explain to the therapist what will happen and support them every stage along the way - it can be really upsetting so it’s necessary to alleviate any fears and concerns. It’s good to discuss what went wrong and look at any changes or improvements that can be made moving forward.

Why is BABTAC/CIBTAC so important for people to be part of?
Both are known for their professionalism, training and good practice offering advice and support to individual therapists and salons. The support system they provide is invaluable as they keep therapists up to date in key areas of running a successful business with a good reputation and client loyalty.

When was the last time you had a treatment?
I had an aromatherapy massage about six weeks ago. I try to have a treatment every three to four months as it’s a great way to relax and take time out.

What beauty products do you always have in your handbag?
I’ve recently been introduced to Temple Spa Products and love the range especially the Windows of the Soul eye cream and Be Firm serum.  My Yves Saint Laurent Volupté tint in balm is another must for the cold winter days as it protects my lips.

How often do you visit your hair salon?
I get my hair coloured and cut every five weeks without fail.

Tell us a secret about you:
I have passed some levels of pole dancing training although these days I prefer to sit and watch Housewives of Cheshire with a Gin and Tonic!

Do you have any holidays planned in 2019?
One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to see more of the world and in March I’m going to Cuba with my husband, David and friends which is a bucket list destination for me.
