Has a client ever asked you for a treatment and you've been baffled as to what it is you're after? You're not the only one!
A survey by BABTAC has revealed that the majority of 'experienced' beauty professionals, those working in the industry for a minimum of 10 years, feel they are 'out of touch' with modern requests for certain treatments.
Those surveyed were asked how they felt about modern trends and the requests they receive from their clients, to which 59% confessed sometimes they feel 'out of touch' with the demands made. Then they were asked 'What specific treatments have clients asked for which made you feel out of touch?' and provided with a list of modern treands, as well as the option to submit their own answers.
The top treatments puzzling technicians are vajazzles, intimate waxes, men's treatments, HD Brows and visible roots hair styling.
"This is exactly why it is so important that beauty therapists do keep up with the trends - if anything, they should strive to be the ones to recommend new treatments and informing their clients about them, not the other way around!' comments marketing executive at BABTAC, Emma Roberts. "Having said that, no matter what you do, there will always be some requests that catch you off guard!"
